The study cycle at the Red Centre - animation

The cyclical nature of architecture study is demonstrated in this animation. The bewildered and overwhelmed students experience the uphill battle of assignments and deadlines as they move through the Red Centre. They pass Red Centre landmarks such as the gallery ramp, the stairs, the columns and the print room. The Red Centre theme of concrete is used throughout the animation. Once the students reach the copy room they come across the next back-to-back assessment and the process begins all over again. Please click the image to go to the Youtube video for this animation.

Fluid Thoughts drawings

This drawing is a blind contour drawing superimposed over an observational drawing of an interior.

This is a still life of a series of objects at home.

This painting is of an interior taken from two slightly different perspectives.

This ink drawing was done at the Museum of Sydney.

This drawing incorporates multiple perspectives, change in scale and uses charcoal and ink in combination.

Fluid Thoughts and Movements to Actions workshop

The focus of the Fluid Thoughts and Movements to Action workshop was to capture the emotive qualities of drawing spaces using the mediums of ink and charcoal. It involved the capturing of 3D space in a 2 dimensional medium. This was acheived by a developing a fluidity of thought and drawing through the use of multiple perspectives, by mixing techniques and by the use of rhythm.
